Birthing Antenatal Classes

A weekly antenatal class to prepare your mind, body and soul for childbirth, through gentle yoga based movement, breathing techniques, relaxation, birth hypnosis, antenatal and active birth education. Birthing Antenatal classes are for expectant parents, to help you enjoy a positive pregnancy, stay mobile, learn about your changing baby and body and prepare for a confident birth.

 

When it comes to the early (or in fact any) stage of pregnancy, any number of emotions can overwhelm us: excitement, fear, anxiety, delight, uncertainty, confusion – and these may well be ever changing!

 

My classes intertwine the best elements of pregnancy yoga-based movement, active birth education and hypnobirthing, in a powerful class that allows you the confidence that comes from realising you can do this.

 

These classes are for the pregnant parent only, are suitable to attend from 14 weeks pregnant right up until baby’s birth, and are adapted to suit all pregnancy related conditions and birth plans with ease.

 

Classes are booked in blocks of 6 weeks at a time but are designed to carry you through from early pregnancy right up until your baby’s birthing day.

 

Each class is 1-hour 30 mins long and costs £80 for the 6 weeks.

Yoga Based Movement

Our pregnancy yoga based movements and sequences are tailored to help prevent and ease pregnancy symptoms, bring awareness to your changing posture and create space for your growing baby

Antenatal & Active Birth Education

Over 6 weeks we explore the physiology of birth in bite sized education segments so that you are actively informed and prepared to make choices for you and your baby on your birthing day

Our active antenatal education and active birth techniques are delivered in a truly effective way – linking your education to your breath, your body and your movement – exactly where you will need it on your baby’s birthing day

Relaxation & Hypnobirthing

Daisy Birthing classes are delivered in such a way that you are guided into a deep state of relaxation as you move. Through the gentle rhythm of your breath, our especially composed Daisy Birthing music and the flowing gentle style of teaching the sequences allows for a truly relaxing class

Our classes link relaxation to your breath, your muscle memory, and your body so that you have a key skill that will be there for you in labour – which will help you to release endorphins, keep adrenalin at bay , fuel your body and baby with oxygen and allow your muscles to work as they should

Each week we close our class with a guided relaxation. We bring together the best elements of relaxation, guided visualisation and birth hypnosis to facilitate a deeper learning, a greater understanding and an increased confidence in your positive birth

Breathing Techniques

Learning to effectively breathe during pregnancy you can help supply your body and baby with oxygen, ease pregnancy symptoms, allow your muscles to work efficiently, keep you calm and relaxed – and help create space for baby too

Breathing is also a key tool for labour – oxygen is key to fuelling contractions and keeping adrenaline at bay. You learn 3 powerful breathing techniques over the course of 6 weeks to take you from those first surges to the 3rd Stage of labour.

The journey through pregnancy into motherhood & parenthood is extremely fulfilling, emotional, joyful and transformational but it can also be so challenging, lonely, messy and imperfect - Thats why we need our village - a support network of friends, other mothers and parents.

Our classes offer a new circle of support, new friends to be made, both from in class and your own private online community. What’s more, we're not just about first time parents, we are suitable and welcome everyone, no matter how many previous pregnancies you have had.
